ORCA

This is a truly sensational itinerary visiting a hotspot for whales and dolphins at the perfect time of year. Spring time in the Azores sees a combination of incredible deep diving sperm whales and migrating giants like blue whales, meaning that it’s the perfect place to go to see all sorts of incredible animals.

Even better for ORCA, after leaving the Azores we spend time around the north African coastline, an area that we have very limited data in and that is a priority for our conservation research. We’ll be collecting vital data as we head from Madeira around to Morocco in a stretch of coastline approaching the Strait of Gibraltar, an area where large whales are at risk of ship strike and a vital area to study.
