John Robson

Speaker - Forensic Science

Dr John is one of the most experienced forensic dentists in the world and has travelled widely both investigating and lecturing in odontology and forensic science. He is still active, working as a consultant for police, coroners, lawyers and other agencies and is past President of the British Association for Forensic Dentistry. He has been responsible for training and continuing professional development for UK forensic specialists and has written chapters for various textbooks. He has been part of the training programs for postgraduates, anthropologists, crime scene investigators, mortuary managers and police forces. John was heavily involved with the investigations in the Asian tsunami acting as team manager in charge of all the international dentists and other specialists and more recently the disasters at Didcot power station, Grenfell Tower and the 737 plane disaster in Ethiopia. He received a police commendation for his work on the MH17 air crash and has appeared on the Crimewatch TV program. He also lectures regularly to lay groups on forensic science and historical true crime. They find his talks fascinating and interesting. John spent over 20 years serving as a local magistrate, sitting on criminal cases and on the youth panel. He is a private pilot and regularly plays piano in a local jazz band.

Stephen Garcia

Guest Speaker - Magician and Comedian

After winning young talent shows in the UK and receiving the “Variety Club Trophy” for Magic and Comedy, Stephen soon realised that this was his journey and embarked on his first cruise at 19, performing in production shows with singers and dancers and to this day, Stephen still can’t dance. Stephen Garcia is recognized as one the top Magic Comedy acts cruising…this week! He was voted “Cruise Act of the Year” by his Mum and Dad. Sir Elton John, Tom Jones & Céline Dion are just many of the famous names Stephen has never worked with. Stephen was invited to appear on the “Royal Variety Show” last year but turned it down as he was still fitting his mother-in laws new kitchen. Stephen’s love for comedy has grown rapidly and is a huge part of his performances. With wit and natural topical funniness incorporated into his shows, he creates fast moving, original and entertaining shows with zany laughter. Stephen’s shows are just perfect for family audiences; cheeky but never rude.

Emily Haig

Guest Act

Emily’s powerhouse soprano vocals, spellbinding and dramatic performance and stunning looks ensure that she immediately commands the stage and engages with her audience. Her Classical, Crossover and Musical Theatre programme is delivered with energy and style, covering artists from Evanescence to Bizet to Buble and everything in between.    In addition to headlining with her own solo shows in the luxury cruise and hotel industries, Emily has twice toured as special guest with The Voice himself, international tenor Russell Watson, and appeared live on TV on more than 50 occasions as the anthem vocalist for the nation’s top sporting and commemorative events.  In 2022 Emily performed the new national anthem God Save the King on the Accession Day (10 September) at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Excellent, I had two calls to the customer service department, one to get prices and ask some questions. All questions were answered, and I asked if the cruise could be saved as I had to confirm with my travelling companion that she was ok with the prices. I did so and phoned back using the reference number Karen had given me. Michelle booked the cruise with a minimum of fuss and confirmed all details by e mail very quickly. The only minus is that the deposit I paid was not on the invoice. I phoned a third time, explaining the situation and the agent sorted it out very quickly and sent new confirmation with the deposit deducted.
