In order to enter Cuban waters and proceed ashore in both Havana and Santiago de Cuba, all guests must be in possession of a valid Double Entry Cuban Tourist Card. For your convenience, we will take care of the necessary visa application process and £54.95 (per guest), will be automatically charged to your onboard account.

Lina Mookerjee

Guest Speaker

Lina is a creative and multi-talented member of society, with a unique career history, and an extremely engaging personality - both on and off stage. For 10+ years she was a professional electrical engineer in the nuclear generation and electricity distribution industries before establishing a nationally acclaimed Yoga School - which led to 15 years of significant personal development for both Lina and hundreds of her students. She also made time for her work as an NHS Trust Governor and Childline Counsellor. Now a senior psychotherapist, media expert commentator, human relations business consultant and published writer, Lina also cares for her disabled husband. She divides her disposable time between her two enduring passions . . . as an enthusiastic self-taught and mostly organic gardener; and sharing her many interests as an enrichment lecturer on international cruise ships. Born and educated in Birmingham, Lina's Hindu Brahmin family background enabled her to acquire extensive knowledge and experience of Indian culture, religion and history. Her first degree was in electrical/electronic engineering, followed by post-grad management training. Lina achieved an MA in Jungian Psychotherapy & Healing 20 years later, as part of her ongoing professional development. She is a seasoned traveller, having extensive experience of India, the Middle East and Europe; and is also a seasoned guest speaker, having delivered her highly entertaining and informative lectures on four separate cruise lines, travelling to North America, Brazil and the Amazon, Scandinavia, Russia and Southern Europe. Her talks list is extensive, including famous people (e.g. from the Queen to Elvis Presley; from Evita Peron to Frank Sinatra); a number of "Whistle-stop Tours" (of a variety of places, e.g. from the Azores to the Faroes, from the Amazon to Normandy); subjects from the arts and history (e.g. Wassily Kandinsky, The Romanovs and Revolution, The Hanseatic League; and a rich mixture of popular topics (e.g. TV Comedy, What is Mind-Body Medicine?, James Bond, and A Story of Chocolate!). Lina will be keen to welcome you to her series of enriching lectures, where she will seek to ensure that you will be informed, entertained -- and occasionally inspired

SPECIAL INTEREST SPEAKER - HISTORIAN / HUMORIST / AUTHOR From the Midwest US and Northwest UK, Rina Tillinger has a series of talks on Anglo-American history with a splash of humour. She is the female Bill Bryson with topics from The GIs in Britain to Hollywood Drama Queen, related to destinations. A teacher and author, Rina likes to educate, entertain and enthuse with her quirky talks on social history which she regularly updates. Rina wrote a weekly humour column called Yankee Doodles about amusing differences between America and Britain in The Chester Chronicle and comic articles from Cheshire Life magazine. A popular speaker around the UK with a variety of interest groups and on cruise lines. Rina is an enthusiastic communicator who loves interacting with the public. If you don’t laugh or learn at one of her lectures, she’ll buy you a drink. Rina has lived in five countries and taught English in the Far East. She found China changing, challenging but charming. She struggled to learn Mandarin but quickly mastered Chinese food. An accomplished paper and fabric craft cutter, Rina makes unique cards, coasters, pictures, earrings and mounts. Her papercuttings have hung in art galleries and in Princess Diana's butler's shop. Happiness is a sharp pair of scissors! Steve Harvey

Guest Speaker - Poet

Steve Harvey was a classmate of Sting, performed with Liam Neeson on the Edinburgh Fringe in the 70's and has organised events including poetry readings by Spike Milligan and Norman MacCaig and creative writing workshops in Normandy. He's been an English teacher, youth worker, police officer, volunteer teacher in Iraq and lecturer in Modern Poetry at Suleimaniyah University, Safety & Security Officer for an NGO in South Sudan, and run the national ‘Children, Fathers & Fatherhood’ Project in Scotland. Steve has had individual poems published in magazines, newspapers and books in the UK, Ireland and France, and a collection of his poetry, A Fixed Expression, published in lraq while he was teaching there in 2004. His memoirs, Between Dreams: Difficult Paths & Dangerous Places, were launched at Blackwell's in Edinburgh by Fledgling Press in November 2016. The Irish writer, Eoin Colfer, described Between Dreams as, 'A memoir that reads like a swashbuckling novel'. Of his poems, Scottish poet, Liz Lochhead, said that some 'will break your heart'; some 'will make you laugh out loud...' He has performed his poetry in many venues in Scotland, including The Scottish National Library Burns Night Poetry Slam in 2016; the Tartan Heart Music Festival, Inverness-shire, that August; and a slam at the Scottish Poetry Library, January 2018, which he won. Steve is Poet-in-Residence at historic Duddingston Kirk, Edinburgh, (in the grounds of which Walter Scott wrote and Turner painted), where he organises literary & music events.
