Pauline Daniels

Guest Act

Pauline served her time as a comedienne and has performed in every venue imaginable. Her many television appearances include, The Comedians, Saturday Royal and Wogan. But since 1986 Pauline has been hailed as one of Merseyside’s favourite theatrical daughters and one of the country’s finest actresses. Her first role was at the Liverpool Playhouse in “Chicago” as “Mama Morton” which was swiftly followed by “Rose” in “Gypsy”. Then followed many different roles including musical comedy and straight roles. In 1992 she became Willy Russell’s favourite “Shirley Valentine” and has continued to play “Shirley” all over the country. Many other plays and productions too numerous to mention have taken place since but her toughest role to date was in “Unprotected” at the Everyman which went on to be an award winner at the Edinburgh Festival in 2006 and a Scouse ology in 2007. Pauline co-presented with Roger Phillips for two years on Radio Merseyside and has sung many times with the Philharmonic Orchestra. She also plays a mean baddie in Panto and has been very successful as the Wicked Queen and Baroness Hard-up at the Floral in New Brighton. Pauline is Merseyside’s Queen of Comedy and continues to be one of Britain’s hardest working stand-up comics.

Andy Eastwood

With ukulele, banjo-uke, violin, guitar and piano, Andy Eastwood’s act is an upbeat blend of dazzling instrumental artistry, foot-tapping songs and bright, breezy humour. Born in Lancashire to a musical family, Andy began performing at an early age, studying classical violin and piano. But he also developed a passion for jazz and popular music, and having taught himself ukulele he made history at Oxford University as the only musician ever to give his degree recital on the instrument! He is now considered one of the world’s foremost ukulele players and is proud to have contributed to its continuing popularity. The legendary Sir Ken Dodd gave Andy his break into theatre, and he made over 300 performances as special guest with the great comedian - who described him as ‘a one-man music festival’ - as well as working alongside stars such as Cannon & Ball, Joe Pasquale, Frank Skinner, Des O’Connor and Roy Hudd. Andy’s one-man show is a popular attraction for cruise liners and corporate functions, and his tour schedule of major theatres and cabaret venues worldwide prompted The Stage to call him ‘the busiest man in showbusiness’. Audiences too have taken him to their hearts: two award-winning summer seasons in Blackpool have earned him the title of the resort’s ‘Top Solo Artist’. For several years Andy portrayed ukulele legend George Formby in the touring show We’ll Meet Again (over 1000 performances), and recently his festival appearances have taken him to Italy, Germany, The Czech Republic, Finland and Oklahoma City, USA. Recently Andy has starred in his own production Those Were The Days at theatres around Britain, and in traditional pantomime each winter. He also produces the popular Midday Variety series at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry. Don’t miss your chance to see this unique entertainer in action!

After retiring from the IT industry after 40+ years, I am able to indulge in my two favourite activities- cruises and crafts. Having taught at local community centre and craft shops and informally on several transatlantic cruises, I was invited to teach on 2 legs of a world cruise with Princess. I found it so rewarding and fun, encouraging fellow cruisers to create that I have since taught on Saga cruises also. As I teach a variety of crafts, in addition to the regular jewellery making classes, decoupage and card making, I can include wirework, UV resin and dipped resin flowers. I also use recycled and reusable products whenever possible e.g. seaglass and driftwood to create art and jewellery. I am also currently looking into diamond art, origami and needle felting to add to my repertoire. Because I can teach such a variety of crafts without repetition, I can cater for the longer voyages. I also enjoy theming my crafts for specific holidays or events.

Easy to book online although the system did not accept my DOB until 3td attempt. Not sure what was wrong. 'My Account' has been updated since I last booked. Can now book coaches to and from the port. The icons are easy to understand and completing information was straightforward. I was also able to book excursions onlne but will not be charged until the end of the cruise. I had to contact Guest Services to check coach times. Had to wait about 10 minutes to get through. Josh , the representative I spoke to, was very helpful and professional.
