READ MORE: Organise your evening on Ambience
Although your Ambassador cabin will come equipped with all the necessities you will need, some small tips and advice can make your stay as comfortable and organised as possible.
Our cabins come equipped with a limited amount of hangers in the wardrobe, and if you’re sailing for an extended period of time, you might want to hand items of clothing up to avoid creasing. One of the best ways to feel at home in your cabin is to unpack, and with extra hangers, you can ensure that all of your clothes are neatly stored away from sight. This tip is especially useful for those planning to get dressed up and enjoy our evening entertainment, as our wardrobes have plenty of room for dresses and suits.
You are allowed to bring as much luggage as you like on an Ambassador cruise, but remember that your luggage will be in your room with you for the duration of your cruise. One of the best tips is to buy or bring stackable suitcases to pop in a corner or at the bottom of the wardrobe. Your empty suitcases are also a great place to store items you don’t need daily, so they aren’t taking up space around the room.
Organisers are a cruiser’s best friend, whether that is for your suitcase or for when you’re in your cabin. Firstly, one of the best ways to make sure you are packing efficiently is to use suitcase dividers and sections your items into areas. Pop all tops into one packing cube, bottoms into another and so on, and this will also help you when you come to unpack or want to find something quickly.
Another great tip is to bring a folder over the door storage organiser. This could hang on the back of the main door or inside the wardrobe, giving you extra space to store shoes or clothing you frequently use.
Magnetic hooks are a great way to create extra hanging space. Cruise ship walls are metal; therefore, you can hang a magnetic hook almost anywhere and use it for bath towels, coats or bags that would otherwise take up floor space.
Portable chargers are a great addition to your packing list and have many benefits when on a cruise. Portable chargers are great for port days and offer extra peace of mind if you’re out and about with a low battery or want to charge a camera. Portable chargers are also great when you’re spending your evening on board the ship, letting you charge up your devices as you dine or watch a show.
Save space, and don’t bring towels from home. On an Ambassador cruise, you will be supplied with enough towels for your stay that will be changed daily when housekeeping visits. Packing towels in your suitcase will not only take up extra space, but you’ll have to store them in your cabin.
If you’re planning to come on an Ambassador cruise and have some queries about the cabin you will choose or how to make the most of the space, then hopefully, this guide has supplied you with the information you need.
